Annex Toys Lego Building Competition


Over 70 children entered the Lego Building competition on March 14th held by Annex Toys, which offered a trip for two to Legoland, Florida as the grand prize, with 12-year-old Tristan Hill winning the grand prize for his masterpiece entitled ‘Battle of Colours’.

2015 Outstanding Teen Awards Winners Named


The Outstanding Teen Awards presentation was held this evening [Mar 14] at the Fairmont Southampton, serving to honour and salute the island’s outstanding teens in 11 areas of excellence, including academic achievement, leadership, community service, sports, perseverance, most progress, visual technical arts, performing arts, visual arts, spiritual leadership, and outstanding overall.

Accreditation: 6yrs Clear


During the week of April 6-9, 2014, representatives from the North American Division and the Middle States Accrediting Association conducted a full-scale evaluation of Bermuda Institute.

The 11-member committee, including four Union Directors of Education, gave a glowing final report to the Administration, School Board, Faculty and Staff on Wednesday evening, expressing in superlative terms their positive impression. 

They have recommended another accreditation term of six years clear, the maximum assessment rating possible.

Team Eye Success

One team in the KPMG Senior School Investment Challenge hopes to uphold their school’s legacy by winning the title this year. 

Profit Bulls and Tradewins are the two teams from Bermuda Institute. They both hope to come first or second in the challenge. 


The Bermuda Bicycle Association’s 2009/10 mountain biking race season has gotten underway where the first of the Conrads Race Series events took place at Fort Scaur Park. Waiting for the starting gun in the 13 -16 age group, were Daelin Richardson and Jordan Samms, both of whom performed admirably. Daelin suffered through dehydration induced cramps to take third place with Jordan two positions back in fifth.
