Bermuda Institute Wasps off to a winning start

Bermuda Institutes rugby season began with a bang on Wednesday night. Going head to head with Saltus Grammar School, the Bermuda Institute Wasps played a stellar game resulting in a 44-17 win.

Alex Dowling and Benjamin Furquan were the top scorers for Bermuda Institute, both finishing the game with three tries each, followed by Mikai Johnston who scored two tries. Darren Woolridge added four points to the leader board by scoring 2 penalty kicks. Rohan Davis, the coach for Bermuda Institute, stated, “I am glad that we have been able to continue what we started in 2015 and I am proud of the effort the young men made tonight!” Combined with continued effort by each of the players and support from their school family and their community it looks like the Bermuda Institute Wasps is poised for another winning season.
